Have you ever wanted a secure section for your Flash website where you could store client demos or family photos? We’re sure some of you must have seen it done before via PHP or .NET but never actually known how to implement the same solution in Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0. Well then, this is the tutorial for you. First of all, you will start by creating a MySQL database using phpMyAdmin to hold the username and passwords, and then you will create the PHP script to check and validate the database to see whether the login details are correct. But you may be wondering what this has to do with Flash. Well, the visual layer will all be done in Flash CS3 using ActionScript 3.0 to communicate with the PHP file. You will also be creating an extra module, one which sends your username and password if you have forgotten the details.
