Submitted by OnesourceFX » Ever wondered if you could change the settings in Photoshop so that you could export your sliced design in css and xhtml instead of tables? In this tutorial I will go in to full detail how to do just that!

Is the resulting code standards compliant? The downside to doing it this way is that Photoshop creates generic names of the divs and later on if you have to do some editing you have no clue which is what at first glance. It's always better to code the layout yourself since you have more control in the naming and things like that.

Jacorre, I 100% agree with you but for someone who doesn't know much about coding, its a great way to start. As for the standards complaint I haven't really looked into it, I don't use this method I do use photoshop to slice my design but then I only export the images, and do the coding myself. Cheers!
