I only got one question. How you did the strings? I did use the pen tool and the stroke path function but it does not come out the same. Some input is appreciated.

It's like this. Get the pen tool, create a path from one point to another, then take the anchor tool, its under the pen tool in the same window, add a anchor point and just curl it a bit, then apply the 1pixel pencil white stroke, and thats it.

Or instead of pencil you can use a 1 pixel size brush with a white color
