I don't really think there is a noticable difference, first of all the image almost looks as if it's been made worse for the purpose of correcting it because the colors, especially on the teeth seem VERY strange. And when corrected it still doesn't seem that well.
Alot better result could be achieved with simply using the pen tool to mark, and then use hue / saturation aswell as brightness / contrast - as long as you don't over-do it.
