Hello

Today i am going to make Tutorial Number 127 from 500 Tutorial Marathon
I will show you how to create a layout for your software.

This is my final result:



I am going to create this layout because i want to promote the following brush pack:


So let's start creating a new document.
size 760 x 770 pixels
Background color: white

Select Rounded rectangle tool ( set radius to 15 pixels ) and create a shape like mine:



Now go to Edit > Transform > Warp ( only available in CS2 )



and select " Arch " and hit " enter" on your keyboard
this is my result:



Now rotate this shape , until you get the same result as mine.



Duplicate this shape ( CTRL+J ), then go to Edit > Transform path> Flip Horizontal
Then with move tool, or with your arrow key place the shape on the other part of the layout



Now for this red shapes please add the following layer styles:

Grab Rectangle tool and create a rectangle on the bottom of your layout



For this black rectangle add the following layer styles







This is my result



Now duplicate the red shapes.



Then with both duplicated shapes selected press on CTRL+E ( this action will merge the layers into a single one )



Go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical
With Move toll place the shape like mine:



With this layer selected press on " add layer mask " button



Grab Gradient Tool - Please use the following settings



Then draw a vertical line like mine



Then you can delete some parts of the mirror with eraser tool.



Now duplicate one more time the 2 red shapes, and place them like me



You can place the shapes with Move tool. Then you can add the following layer styles:







Now let's add some details. If you are going to sell a software, you need a software box. On Talk-mania there are already 2 tutorials for this kind of 3D boxes:

Here you can see how i have placed the software box.



Now place some text on your layout, and another small details



Select Rounded Rectangle tool, ( set the radius to 5 pixels ) anc reate 2 shapes



For this 2 shapes please add the following layer style

On Left side you can add a navigation menu.



Then you need to load a set of cloud brushes from www.free-photoshop.com

Download the set : Brush #5 -Clouds

Then on a new layer create some clouds behind the software box



Then on the right side you need to create a price tag. Grab Pen tool and create something like me.



For this tag you need to add the following layer styles:









This is my result



Now create a rectangle with Rectangle tool



Grab Ellipse tool and create 2 circles



You can see that i have placed 2 circles one above the other one.

The next step is to create also a small circle on the red shape



Grab the brush toll and create a random drawing



Then add a price you want for your software



I will create a buy it now button. i am using Rounded rectangle tool



Please go one more time on free-photoshop.com and download the Brush #13 - Tech Brushes

Load the brushes in your photoshop , then on a new layer ( press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+N ) create some drawings on the left side of your layout



The last thing is to add a Text Logo. Do you know this website: talk-mania.com ?
